Paige Sommerer was born in Kansas City. Growing up in the suburbs of Overland Park, Paige discovered her love of singing while performing We Go Together from Grease in the 6th Grade Talent Show at Brookridge Elementary School. In middle school, she performed in her first musical as Kim McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie and would continue to lead her high school’s productions as Maria in The Sound of Music. From this childhood spark, Paige would go on to have a 20 + year singing career in New York City and Los Angeles.

When she later landed at the University of Missouri, Paige received her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Theatre and recognition from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for playwriting. She performed as the lead in the MU Department of Theatre’s academic season and summer repertory musicals and plays. She was crowned Miss Columbia, Missouri 2009 of the Miss America Organization.

After graduation, Paige lived in New York City for a decade, performing Off Broadway (Spandex the Musical), at Tony Award Winning Theatres (South Pacific, Paper Mill Playhouse & The Fiddler on the Roof, Goodspeed Musicals) and on ABC (Time After Time). To supplement her entertainment career, Paige taught swimming at Marlene Meyerson JCC of Manhattan while providing child care to prominent families on the Upper West Side.

In 2021, Paige moved to Los Angeles and has lead films with Lifeboat Productions (Sis) starring Mo Collins and Ciara Bravo, premiering at the Oscar / BAFTA Qualifying 20th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival 2024 and Geena Davis’s 10th Annual Bentonville Film Festival 2024 as well as UCLA’s Film Department (Generally Educated Dora), premiering at the San Diego International Children’s Museum as part of Comic Con. During the school year, she is an Acceleration Specialist Educator at Santa Monica Boulevard Community Charter School teaching English Language Arts grades K-6th. Paige is the founder of Syntheswim, LA’s premier learn-to-swim school, teaching children to adults, novice to elite, swimming.

Currently, Paige lives in Hollywood. When she is not singing or swimming, she enjoys hiking to Audible, exploring LA’s finest bakeries and delis, seeing live performance, and writing screenplays at sunrise!

Up next, she is developing a foundation to give lower-income families opportunities to learn how to swim!
